Frequently asked questions.

  • Yes I do! I have shot all around the US and even some international projects. I am always willing to join you on an adventure and create something really special. If your project requires me to travel, I am happy to work with you to make it as cheap as possible. I’m a simple guy and don’t require any fancy travel accommodations.

  • The prices vary depending on the type of project (wedding, music video, concert/festival, brand shoot, etc.), the number of rolls I shoot on, and the editing requirements. Check out the pricing page in the menu above and/or feel free to contact me at any point to talk through the pricing of your project in more detail.

  • After shooting your project, I will drop off the film the next day at a local UPS/FedEx and ship it to the lab to get developed via 2-day shipping. From there, it usually takes about 4-6 weeks for me to get the developed footage back from the lab. Once I have the footage in hand, I always try to edit and finish each project within one month. I will keep you updated throughout each stage of the process!

  • I do shoot film photography as well! While I focus on Super 8 films for a majority of my work (and do film photography as more of a hobby), I am happy to hear about your photo project and see if its a good fit. Super 8 video is all about capturing candid moments, and often times trying to juggle both photo and video results in missing something special. I therefore try to stick to just video or photo when shooting a project.

That being said, I do have friends who are amazing film photographers. I am happy to introduce you to them and their work, see if it’s a good fit, and bring one of them on board to shoot photos while I shoot video.

  • I shoot all of my Super 8 films on a Canon 1014 XL-S, a Canon 814 Auto Zoom, and a Canon 514 XL. All three cameras were produced between 1975-1980 and have been refurbished by a professional Super 8 camera restorer. I use Kodak Super 8 50D and 500T film stock for a majority of my work.
